About Melanie S. Rich, Ph.D.
Dr. Rich has extensive experience in providing both brief counseling and longer term depth psychotherapy and has worked with patients who struggle with depression, anxiety, challenges of parenting, women’s issues, relationship and other life concerns.
Dr. Rich is a published author, has appeared on numerous television programs, and has regularly lectured on topics which promote mental health and well being. She is especially concerned with honoring individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Rich is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice for more than forty years. She obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Berkeley, California and is a long-time member in good standing of the prestigious National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
While formally trained in psychoanalytic or insight-oriented psychotherapy, throughout her forty-plus years of practice she has also been consistently attuned to the connection between mind and body which so significantly impacts an individual’s health and wellness.
